7 BEST SUPERHERO COSTUMES FOR KIDS
If there was an age group that can’t seem to get over costuming, it would be kids. Whether it’s Halloween or attending a kid’s parties, costuming is part of the whole experience of childhood. Parents wanting to earn some good brownie points need to learn the current most popular costumes that kids all over the world just can’t get enough of. Below are a few to choose from.
1. CAPTAIN MARVEL
Praise your kid the moment she picks her superhero costume off the shelf because Captain Marvel isn’t your typical superhuman, she is also a great model for little girls all over the world. In fact, the president of Marvel Studios went on to say that Carol Danvers, AKA Captain Marvel, is the most powerful superhero in the Marvel Universe, more powerful than beefy Hulk, Black Panther, Wolverine, and even Thor.
It’s no surprise then that after making those comments a lot of young girls (and young boys) want to dress up as Captain Marvel on Halloween, birthday parties, and other special events.
2. BLACK PANTHER
The moment Black Panther came into the scene, everyone, comic book fans or not, went to the cinemas. Many hailed the movie as a triumph of human society, finally producing a movie for widespread consumption with an almost all-black cast and celebrating black culture in every scene of the movie.
Together with the Dora Milaje, badass women warriors, Black Panther worked to protect Wakanda, their home. Give in to your kid’s chant of “Wakanda Forever” and get them an awesome Black Panther costume.
3. SPEEDY DASH
Dash has got to be one of the most memorable characters when Pixar’s The Incredibles was released all those years back. He was faster than a speeding bullet, could run even on water, and every bit as energetic as his name suggests. Watch your kids transform from being quiet and shy into one of energy and vigor the moment they put on their Dash suit.
4. CAPTAIN AMERICA
Everyone’s favorite superhero admittedly isn’t the most powerful but he has the most heart. Captain America lived in a time where valor and chivalry were what’s important, not physicality. Getting a dose of the “super-soldier” serum didn’t change that. With enhanced strength and reflexes, Captain America remained to be down to earth, strong in his conviction, and morally upright. Every parent wants Captain America as a kid.
Let’s face it, it was Ironman who started the whole Marvel franchise. If it wasn’t for him, we would never have gotten all these amazing superhero movies and our kids would never have these amazing characters to look up to and aspire. The next time your kids ask you what they should become for Halloween, pay homage to the father of modern superheroes and tell them they could come as Ironman.
If you have a kid that’s tired of all the superhero hype and prefer to stand out come costume day in school, they can always come in a custom kigurumi attire. If you’re not familiar with what this is, it’s a Japanese term for costumed character and commonly viewed as a type of cosplay pajamas or aonesie that resembles an animal. Popular looks include penguin, panda, dinosaur, cat, and unicorn. If your child wants to be comfortable while in costume, then a Kigurumi costume is the way to go.
Coming as your friendly neighborhood superhero is going to be a hit among friends and classmates which is why so many kids dress as Spider-Man on Halloween and costume parties. Not only is the costume for boys, but there are also now countless options for girls to become Spider-Man. Now, both boys and girls can do whatever a spider can.
